Hey everyone, I’m Pat and I’m in DDS3 😮💨
I’ve been at Melbourne Uni since 2019 and have lived and breathed student life for about as long. Ever since my four wisdom teeth erupted perfectly into occlusion I knew I was destined for this role.
My passions are solo backpacking, sweet treats, tactical study naps, and telling a short story long. I also enjoy swimming, cycling, running, and doing all of those in that order. You will see me most days racing up the Swanston St bike path hoping to slip into class before the attendance sheet is collected.
Please don’t hesitate to come up to me around uni and introduce yourself! I’m always down for a chat whether it’s MDSS, uni, or life related.

Hey everyone! I’m Ellie and I’m in DDS3!
You’ll almost always find me somewhere between clinic and the library, with a coffee in hand and an endless supply of snacks - I’ve been told I have a real talent for finding the most elite supermarket snacks.
Outside of uni, I love travelling and will be in the sun or at the beach any chance I get. I may have a rather persistent sweet tooth, but I also have a strong passion for health and fitness and I fully believe the two can happily coexist.

Hi Everyone, I’m Matt, a DDS2 student!
If I’m not holed up in one of the libraries creating summary sheets or knee deep in administrative work I’ll usually be at the bouldering gym or the pool!
I have a love for discovering new recipes to cook and cocktail concoctions, so if you could help drive some of my inspiration please do share.

JUSTIN GILLATT

Hey y’all, I’m Justin, a DDS3, and I am your Treasurer for this year.
I grew up farming so I love everything outdoors be it hiking, camping, skiing, canoeing, or relaxing on a beach. I recently got my scuba diving certificate and want to get the same for sky diving so I can eventually HALO jump (I have a very extensive bucket list).
I’m always happy to help or answer any questions you might have so feel free to reach out at any time in person or online.

Hey everyone! I’m Halynn, a DDS2 student and the Events Director for this year!
In class you can catch me checking out the latest Jetstar deal even though I’ve been traumatised after paying 70 dollars in weight excess fees before (It was more expensive than the ticket)…
My hobbies include singing (pop, jazz, k-pop), running, horse-riding, bouldering, learning languages (I will speak to you in Japanese if I’ve had a few too many), PC games, eating out and navigating the public transport system in Portugal or Stockholm (and somehow surviving).
If you need any K-drama recommendations or where to eat in Seoul I have a whole list in my head 😎 Feel free to come say hi around campus! I’d love to get to know you😁

Hi everyone! I’m Carol and I’m in DDS2!
I basically live at uni 24/7 😔, but on the rare occasions I manage to touch grass, you’ll usually find me running, dancing, or picking up a new hobby with friends.
In my spare time, I love watching C-dramas, doom-scrolling through TikTok or Instagram Reels 😭, and travelling. I’m currently obsessed with exploring different cities in China and can’t wait to visit even more countries in the future 😊.

Hi all!! Yashik here, your 2026 Sports Director and another (yes, another) DDS3 Canadian.
Importantly, I love sports! Spending my time at the gym, having a laugh and a kick with the DDS soccer team, going for a hit at the tennis courts and exploring the many hikes aus has to offer.
Other than that I’m constantly exploring the Melbourne food scene and a valued, well seasoned Eat Club member😋.
I’m keen to say hi and get to know you guys over the next year!

Hey guys, I’m Tahlia! I’m a DDS2 and the Academic Director.
When I’m not answering emails, catch me playing volleyball/basketball or on an outdoor adventure. I love to travel, op shop, boogie, and ski. I still play Pokémon go, listen to Charli xcx, and say ‘yolo’ like it’s 2016.
When I’m having a night in, I’m on the switch, building lego, or cuddling my crusty white maltese shitzu while watching the secret lives of mormon wives.

Hey y'all I'm Jake 🇨🇦
When I’m not spamming Anki cards you’ll probably find me shooting hoops or exploring one of Victoria’s 45 national parks.
A quick story: when I was 23, my accommodation fell through while backpacking. My partner and I had to hike out of the Ecuadorian Amazon, convince a local petroleum worker to give us a ride to the nearest settlement, flag down a police officer for a lift to the nearest town, and finally catch a bus back to the city. Safe to say, I now triple-check Google reviews… 😳

Hi everyone! I’m Wendy, your Events Officer and DDS2.
I’m Melbourne-born but love learning more about my Vietnamese heritage whenever I can. 🇻🇳 At home I have a very cute two-year-old bunny named Kiwi, who’s deaf and blind in one eye but completely unbothered by life.
In my spare time you’ll usually find me playing tennis, travelling, camping and skiing with friends, feeding a mild shopping addiction, or watching anything from F1 (go Williams!) to Married at First Sight as a loyal fan🩵
And when I’m not doing all that, I’ll happily use any excuse to avoid studying so please come say hi!

Heya, I’m Vithy - a second‑year dental student and your Media Officer for this year.
After suffering through seven years of orthodontic treatment, I decided I'd spent enough time in the patient chair and would aspire to be a dentist.
When I’m not embarrassing myself by blurting out answers in lectures or hiding in ERC pretending to catch up, I’m usually up for a chat. I might look scary but I'm a total nerd who listens to prog rock, watches anime and still plays Fortnite - so don’t hesitate to come say hi!

Hey! I’m Jenny, your DDS2 social officer - and yes, that means I’m in DDS2!
To describe myself would be to say that I’m a bit of a wildcard, but in the most intentional way possible. I’m unpredictable, but someone you can always count on when it matters.
Outside of uni, you'll probably catch me with a matcha or bubble tea in hand, out for a run/swim, or having an impromptu photoshoot (cause why not?). I love dancing, and laughing so hard until I can’t breathe. Even at the ripe age of 22, I still love all my plushies and I’m fully committed to expanding my empire - no shame, no apologies.
Feel free to come up for a chat if you see me roaming around campus! I promise I don’t bite (unless you’re stealing my food).

In a world where I would always have time, I love baking, binge watching, playing games, doing escape rooms, but most importantly, I LOVEEE food😋😋. If u manage to see me at any time, know I will always be munching on something.
But other than my big back tendencies and my inability to stay awake in class, I also love what I call my big 3 greens: smiskis, matcha and money🙂↕️

Hi everyone!! I’m Gabby and I’m in DDS4 😎
Whilst I love dentistry, I have fostered a deep and encompassing passion for event planning and team management during my time in tertiary education. Rumour has it that I had a 14-page masterdoc for my birthday party last year. When I am not event planning, I am working on my lifts (and running my mouth) with the uni powerlifting club. When the opportunity allows, I like to ski, travel, go to live music events and paint ⛷️🎨

Have you ever met a dental student who consumes sugar on a daily basis? Well, that’s me! Even though I have already had a root canal filling (bonus points if you can guess which tooth using FDI notation 😫), I still let my sweet tooth take the reins and you will find me procrasti-baking anything from cookies to muffins on a weekly basis.
I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to organising my schedule, so don’t be alarmed if you see me scurrying around uni like a headless chook. However, you should be alarmed if I say I haven’t had my morning matcha latte, because I will most likely be non-functional. But my second favourite thing (after matcha) is a yap, so be sure to say hi!

Hi everyone! I’m Chloe, a DDS4 student and the sponsorship director for this year!
When I’m not being a caffeine addict and losing my mind over uni, I love travelling to new places, listening to music and occasionally gaming with my friends. I’m also constantly on the hunt for new places for matcha. Ps if you have not tried Naau’s matcha with peanut cream, you are missing out!!
Fun fact: my most recent travel location was rural Japan and I got to hike along one of the world’s only two UNESCO world-heritage listed pilgrimage routes!

Hi all!! I’m Muhsin, your friendly yearbook chief editor for this year. I hail all the way from Vancouver, CANADA 🇨🇦, and the land of FIGS scrubs — whichever one is easier to remember for you!
When I’m not juggling yearbook duties or scurrying around the CBD looking for a food (eats), I’m usually working on content creation, rotting away on TikTok, or cooking up a new SHMEAL🥵. Oh — and you’re also bound to catch me consoling a crying classmate with my signature line: “it’s never that serious…,” followed by a quick nag about that crying video they sent to half the class, then a pep talk to remind them that we got this!
If you catch me running late to class with a coffee in one hand and my loupes case in the other, just pretend you didn’t see it. But also do come say hi if you see me on campus — I’m always happy to chat OR caffeinate?!
